As I mentioned last week, I recently spent two weeks traveling in Asia with my boyfriend and his family. Today I wanted to share one of the things God revealed to me more than He had before.

In foreign lands, with people I’m not used to traveling with and just a whole lot of newness I found myself aware of how ever-changing the world around us is. I kept coming back to this image in my mind of the ground around and beneath my feet completely crumbling away. But whenever I thought about this, I also thought about God and how constant He is. Like Peter walking on the water when he kept his gaze on Jesus (Matthew 14:22-33), it didn't feel like the metaphorical floor around me mattered any more. Jesus’ consistency was enough.

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.

Malachi 3:6

We are always facing change, especially as the year comes to an end and the uncertainty of 2026 starts to set in. In the moments when you feel overwhelmed by all the change around you, be like Peter and set your eyes on the Lord. You don’t need to know how he is going to handle your situation, you can just find your comfort in knowing that he never changes and is the rock we can rely on.

During to the exam season many of us are facing, I’ve been trying to keep these newsletters a bit shorter. I hope they can still encourage you in whatever season you are in and remind you of the God who loves you and wants to take care of you.

If you want to if you want to receive these newsletters as on WhatsApp, get more involved with community and receive additional encouragement and tips, you are welcome to join this WhatsApp group.

Good luck to all of you working hard at this time and know that no matter the outcome, God is in control.

We’ll chat soon, Cailyn xx
