Good morning friends, I hope you are all having a lovely week.

In all honesty, I haven’t gotten out to writing a newsletter for this week. (I definitely do need to be better at scheduling in a time to do it!)

I was planning to write something now but I don’t want to rush it and post something subpar just for the sake of posting. So instead, I thought I’d share a couple of questions I came across yesterday in a devotional. They touch on a very important point and something really foundational to our faith that is often overlooked. Maybe you can use the couple of minutes you would’ve taken to read this newsletter to reflect on and answer these questions for yourself.

Reflection:

Who do you believe God is?

Who or what has influenced that belief?

Is this belief true?

I think often we don’t realise what we believe about God and sometimes we may have a skewed perspective. We don’t question what we truly believe but it is important for us to check ourselves, seek wise counsel from the Holy Spirit and from community, and base our beliefs on the truth in the Bible. This question has definitely stirred my heart and is something I’m continually pondering on and I hope you find them valuable too.

If you would like to take this reflection a step further, look at some of the things scripture says about the character of God and reflect on how He has shown those characteristic in your own life.

Enjoy the rest of your week and we’ll chat again soon,

Cailyn xx
